Plan for the road trip

I want to plan an exciting road trip in winter vacation because the weather is more comfortable than summer. And the trip is to travel around Taiwan by train. I will start from Taipei train station, then to Tainan, Hualien, Yilan, and back to Taipei. This is the trip for myself, so I won't bring any companions along. I want to know how independent I can be, and also learn about solving the questions I might encounter during the trip. In order not to let my parents worry about my safety, I will call them every night before I go to sleep, send them messages often, and give them the phone numbers of hotels that I stay in.
I will spend two days in each city, so that I can experience the local life there. I think the biggest problem I may encounter is losing my way because I have no sense of direction. To solve this question, I need one precise map, and keep track of the name of the roads.
I hope that I can become more mature after this trip!

The west side of Da-An Forest Park

Da-An Forest Park located at the center of Taipei City, surrounding by many skyscrapers and restaurants. It has MRT exits at four sides, so you can take MRT and go out from any side of the park. Each side has different beautiful views, but I like the west side most. Walking out of the MRT station, I find myself stand in a grand courtyard that surrounded by flowers and trees. The trees are lofty and I can even smell the delicate fragrance of a kind of flowers which called prunus mume. They bloom everywhere in the courtyard and decorate the grove just like little shining stars above the sky. The stairs are covered with dark yellow light like sunset color. Walking up to the top, there's a transparent arena stands in the middle of the dense "forest". The arena is so clear that I can even see the moonlight reflex on it, and the cut glass is also elegant. Carved with rattan wine around the glass, it's just like the mysterious castle in fairy tales. Da-An Forest is regarded as the lung of city, and it definitely worth a visit.

The road trip

The road trip

A few weeks ago, a low tide stroke me, I was so frustrated and upset, so I decided to go back to my hometown Taipei. During those days I lived in my friend's place, we took an unplanned road trip, and I will never forget how excited I felt on that day.
It was autumn, but the weather was still a bit hot, so we decided to go to beach by motorcycle. Without any hesitation, we departed from Jingmei to Tamsui, which is a very long distance. Roading for almost an hour, we finally arrived at the harbor in Tamsui and had lunch there. The fish ball soup was so gorgeous that I had several bowls of it. After lunch, it took us one and half hour to get to the beach. The ocean is so azure that I couldn't stop staring at it. I saw the bright orange colored sunset sank into the horizon and the afterglow surrounded the sea level. Too astonished to keep tracking of time, I did not even notice that it was about late evening. We left the beach at six thirty, and we went to Mt. Yangming. The sky above was so clear that I could see it full of shinning stars. We went down the mountain and had dinner at night market, playing a lot of games and had fun.
Although it was so tired to rode almost five hours to have this amazing road trip, after this, I'm full of energy again, and it's been one of best experiment of my life.
